My new running shoe after 864km

When I first started running I started with the shoe I had. I didn’t want to think much about what shoe to use. The more important part was the action of running. In the middle of that year, I got a sports trainer. Nothing specific to running but just a shoe for sports. I used that for the majority of the runs. After a year of running, I decided to get a shoe that was called a running shoe specifically.

I got the Adidas UB19 that you can see above. It was a lucky buy. I am no shoe expert and I just bought the one that fit me well. I used that shoe over the past year and I covered 864km with these shoes. They have been a treat to run in but its time has come. It will now become my running shoe while a new model replaces it.

I wanted to avoid proper running shoes up until I thought I was good enough for it. I wanted to feel like I deserved the shoe. That I was worthy of a proper shoe.

Finally this year I was improved enough to get one. But when I decided to go down that rabbit hole I ended up learning so much about running shoes and their classifications from my running Senpai Kyle. I ended up learning terms like pronation, stability, etc. I didn't know that so much thought was put into a running shoe. It fascinated me and I can’t wait to learn more.

Thanks to his suggestion I decided to go with this specific model. The New Balance FuelCell Prism. I ran 2km today with this. It was comfortable, lightweight and I could feel the bounce of it. My feet hurt a little but will definitely adjust to it.

That has been my journey with running shoes. Any suggestions are always welcome.
